A suspect has been arrested in the case of a woman who was shot and killed outside a business in Las Vegas.

The victim, 35-year-old Mallory Armijo, was allegedly involved in an argument over a stolen salad with an employee at a 7-11 near Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue.

Timothy Lett, the father of one of Armijo’s four children, expressed disbelief at the situation and shared fond memories of her.

According to witnesses, Armijo and another man had a confrontation with an employee at the 7-11, which resulted in her being shot multiple times as she walked away.

Rainier Jefferson, a 35-year-old Las Vegas man, has been charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Attorney Christian Gabroy expressed concern about the incident, emphasizing that it could have happened to anyone in the community.

The suspension of the 7-11 location’s business license by Clark County was noted, and attempts to contact the 7-11 corporation for comment were unsuccessful.

The tragedy has left Armijo’s children and loved ones devastated.
