Every year, the Nevada Business Magazine publishes its list of the top attorneys, the “Legal Elite“, of Nevada. This list showcases the top attorneys in their fields who are chosen by their peers. These attorneys are classified as the best of the best. The selection process starts in February as close to 4.,500 nominations are submitted for review. Each submission must come from a licensed attorney and must show his or her Bar number on the form. Each entry must pass a rigorous verification process to be selected.
The Nevada Business Magazine’s Legal Elite list only includes the top three percent of the 9,000 active attorneys in the state of Nevada. Making the list is no easy feat. Each attorney that was nominated had to go through several different levels of verification in order to make the final list. After being nominated, the ballots submitted were reviewed and verified with the State Bar of Nevada. The nominees scored based on the number of votes received by his or her colleagues. Votes within a firm held fewer points than those outside the firm. only those with the most votes were contacted to be added to the 2020 Legal Elite list.
