Christian Gabroy was interviewed on Fox 5 News about whether or not employers can mandate that employees get the Covid-19 vaccinations. Some employers are mandating that employees must be vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to keep their jobs. Christian is quoted to say that “Mandated Vaccinations is a divisive topic right now.” This is a new area of the law and there is still a lot of confusion as to whether or not this is legal.

Christian says that it depends on a variety of factors such as company size, the reasons the employee is refusing to be vaccinated, etc. There may be some reasons, such as religious beliefs or health conditions that may be valid excuses to not be vaccinated. These will probably be tested in the courts. Christian is following all the latest case proceedings to get the latest decisions being made regarding the legality of mandating Covid-19 vaccinations.

Another thing that comes into play is when there is a workplace vaccine incentives program where when a certain percentage of the employees, say 95% get vaccinated, then all the employees get a monetary bonus, such as $500 per employee. If employees that have not been vaccinated seek assistance and other employees that have been vaccinated find out, it can cause a hostile work environment.
